I am a photographer and film maker specializing in architecture, interiors and the built environment. I live with my wife Paige in South West London.
Studying architecture at The University of Nottingham built on my design background, and provided opportunities to use model making, painting, and drawing to convey ideas. I always had a camera at hand to document the buildings we studied, from weighty concrete churches hidden in the mountains near Santa Cruz to community-orientated projects in rural South Africa. I was hooked with capturing images of the built environment.
Since completing my undergraduate degree, I have worked in a variety of architectural practices and completed photographic projects for a wide range of clients whilst studying for a Masters in Architecture at Kingston University.
I use both stills and motion to document spaces, and am particularly interested in capturing the interactions between people and spaces. My background in architecture, means that aside from the realised design, I possess an appreciation for a building's making and craft, how it's put together, and work to convey this in my photography.
When I'm not on assignments, I love working on exciting new projects and embarking on adventures such as taking a Land Rover Defender around Iceland, and working as an architectural tutor with the University of Nottingham's Live Build unit and running building projects in South Africa.
